Our trainings/workshops

One of the fundamental questions of modern adult education is the personality of the trainer. Today, it truly matters who stands behind the lectern, how they do it, and with what personality, because the trainer is no longer a teacher, but a person who initiates a learning process in others. Therefore, today’s trainers must be both advisors and inspirers of the learning process. They need to develop within themselves a new attitude: respecting the will of the other person, and forming a new way of meeting participants. Adult educators must always keep in mind the autonomy and inner independence of the human being. A trainer must also view the training as a part of their own learning journey.

In our trainings/workshops, we place great emphasis on artistic work, movement exercises, and group activities, and on applying them at the right time, because this kind of rhythm can set the forces of will into motion very effectively. The role of will in adult education is the most crucial question. A trainer is essentially someone who undertakes to awaken will in their learners, as it is well known that every adult learning process emerges through overcoming resistance and releasing tension. But what does it mean to awaken will? It means being active for the sake of something that fills us with wonder. (It is important to avoid a misconception here: activity should not be confused with will. The active person lacks wonder toward the object of their activity — the very element that would connect them to it — whereas will-driven activity is characterized by this connection.)

The goal of every training/workshop is to help people, through their independence and sound judgement, find their own personal path in the world and thereby become successful.

The training and education of an adult has three fundamental aspects or aims, which appear as a result of the instincts operating within them:

  • The instinct for knowledge functions as an inner driving force from birth and urges the person to learn as much as possible about the world around them. This force drives human beings along the path of understanding. It has an interesting characteristic: once it awakens in relation to something, it will not let it go.

  • Under the influence of the instinct for development, the human being is constantly changing and forming. Self-created inner contrasts, transformation, and development accompany them throughout life. This force may change greatly depending on age.

  • The instinct for improvement — the desire to change the world — is one of the most hidden forces within human beings, yet it is always present in everyone. Through this force, a person recognizes that they can change their future through active participation; that by walking the “path of decision,” they can influence their own destiny. Through this force, a person becomes capable of doing everything in their life a little better.
